Concept Selection - EMS has a strong heritage in providing unrivaled cost estimation and concept selection services to the natural gas industry. Whether simply consulting or serving as the in-house cost estimation and concept selection experts, we have the experience and technology to help our clients make objective decisions at various stages of a project with due consideration to technical requirements, cost and schedule estimates, risk assessments and environmental constraints.
Conceptual Design - Following completion of the concept selection work, EMS engineers can rapidly initiate conceptual design studies. We use industry standard tools in conjunction with best practices to model facilities and generate the conceptual design deliverables, which typically include basis of design documents, process flow diagrams/heat and material balances, field and individual facility layout drawings, utility balances, and weight and cost estimates for facilities and pipelines.
Front-End Engineering Design - By taking time during the initial stage of the project to clearly understand our clients’ objectives, EMS delivers significant cost and schedule benefits for our clients. We go the extra step to ensure the level of detail for each deliverable meets the project requirement in the most efficient manner. In many cases, we have customized our document and drawing templates for specific client processes to streamline development of the deliverables. The end result is a well-defined, client-approved planning document that serves as the roadmap for allocation of resources, development of workflows, and establishment of client and contractor protocols to ensure smooth execution.
